This is our team for ages 4-6. There is no tryout for this team and practices are held on
Sunday afternoons. This team includes beginning instruction in pom. The team will perform at one JV football game, the homecoming parade, and a Stoughton Dance Program Showcase to show their routine one final time.

Youth
This is our elementary-age (1st-6th grade) competition team. There is no tryout for this team. This team has a lesser commitment out of our two elementary-aged teams. The team includes instruction in basic techniques, skills, and pom motions. Youth practices are held on Sunday afternoons from September to December and compete at 1 local competition in December. They will also perform in the homecoming parade, a JV football game, and our Stoughton Dance Program in November.

Junior Prep
This is our second elementary-age (1st-6th grade) competition team. There is a "placement practice" in order to try out for this team. This team has a greater commitment out of our two elementary-aged teams. This team includes instruction in intermediate techniques, skills, jazz, and pom motions. Practices are held on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons from August to January. They will also compete at 3 local competitions from November - January (including JEM State). They will also perform in the homecoming parade, a basketball game, and our Stoughton Dance Program in November. For more info click

This is our middle school age (7th-8th grade) competition team. There is no tryout for this team. This team includes instruction in intermediate techniques, skills, jazz, and pom motions. Practices are held on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons from August to January. They will also compete at 3 local competitions from November - January (including JEM State). They will also perform in the homecoming parade, a basketball game, and our Stoughton Dance Program in November.
High school-aged students with intermediate to advanced potential/skills. No dance background is required. The team receives instruction from outside dance instructors who are specialists in their field. The team receives instruction in gymnastics and tumbling during the summer. This team will learn three competitive dance routines - pom, jazz, and high kick- which they will compete in local area competitions and at the state tournament in January. Please note that participation in this team requires being a student at Stoughton High School.
